Knitting and other news

I've been tired these past few days, and it was rainy *all day* today (rare for the southwest), so I was keeping up pretty well on the news. Till the Russian school siege got out of hand -- it became too awful to watch, and too painful to think about what that town, especially parents of the dead children, must be going through. I still can't comprehend how people can be so awful.

So with the TV off and music on, I've been getting more knitting done. Here are a few pictures:

A sweater for Maggie, made from wool I bought from an Ebayer (I've also just finished a cute matching hat):

The beginnings of another sweater for Maggie, made from old skeins of pink wool and deep red mohair that knitting friend Evelyn gave me last month (I'm now on the second sleeve; I had to add a few stripes of pink wool plus white mohair because the red mohair was a bit moth-eaten):

Next up: semi-matching wool sweaters for Maggie and Lazarus, using more Ebay yarn.
